Through the years Garcia picked up knowledge and played in more than eight high school tournaments. Garcia was the captain of Mable Falls' high school team and led it to 3rd in regional competition in 2003. The team then finished 6th in 2006 as they were the team that finished sixth. There is no doubt that she is an accomplished golfer. In the past, she has received more than 17 gold medals at the national level. Garcia is also a member in the Women's Texas Golf Association. Garcia started her education at Texas Christain University, where she spent two years of studying prior to moving on to the University of Texas. In the university she was able to play on a bigger size and develop her abilities with time. In spite of the fact that she found happiness and fulfilment as a golfer Angela Akin Garcia never dreamt of playing professionally, instead she was drawn to journalism. After graduating her degree, she was employed as a Fox Sports Southwest reporter.
